Be kind.

You are not me, and I am not you.
Your journey yours, my path mine.
Each trying to define, a bone, a sinew,
Learning, adapting to each incline.

Chiseling rocks, to fit holes laid bare,
Building ourselves, stone by stone.
A teeter here, a tremor there.
Just trying to stand, on our own.

So, with empathy, I wish you would see
That your height isn't drawn from me.
My stones, they won't fit your design,
Your journey yours, my path mine.

And when you reach out, let it not be
To knock me off my stability.
But try instead, to hold me up,
Against the worlds blows,
too hard to stop.

Be kind, and try and see,
Your height, it isn't drawn from me.
Re-define.
Your journey yours, my path mine.
